I moved to Colorado in 1974 and immediately fell in love with the Centennial State. I have always known that Colorado was a great place to live, especially for people who enjoy the great outdoors. It’s hard to beat hiking in the Colorado high country or driving any one of Colorado’s twenty-six scenic byways.
Colorado is also home to some of the best ski resorts in the country and if like me, you enjoy cross-country skiing then places like Grand Mesa National Forest, located on the western slope of Colorado and is the world’s largest flat-topped mountain, has great cross-country skiing.
I was surprised to learn that in a recent study by WalletHub Colorado was listed second only to Florida as the best state for seniors to retire.
