Creating a MyMedicare.gov account is simple and straight forward as most of the information you need is on your Medicare Card. Below I have listed a few of the many reasons to set up a MyMedicare.gov account.
By creating a MyMedicare.gov account, you can:
- View your Medicare claims
- Maintain a list of your current prescription drugs
- Find Medicare providers and hospitals
- Review a calendar of current and upcoming services
- Check current Medicare plan information
- Create a report to share with your doctor and other providers
- Check your deductible amount
- Print or order a new Medicare card
- Pay premiums
Click on or copy and paste the link into your browser to create your account.
When inputting your Medicare number, do not add any spaces or dashes.
Enter your name exactly as it is shown on your Medicare card.
Though an email address is asked for, it is optional; just be sure to read then checkmark the box below.
You will receive a confirmation letter within 10 to 14 days of creating your account.
